Immersion and Recirculation Fluid Mixer— Perfect Emulsions and Industrial Homogenization
SGM fluid mixers are high-performance tools designed for emulsification, homogenization, refining, dissolution, dispersion, and disintegration operations. Based on the well-established rotor-stator principle, these mixers are available in immersion version (type “I”) for direct use in the tank, and in recirculation version (type “R”) for in-line fluid treatment.
The sharp-blade rotor rotates at high speed, drawing the products being processed toward it. The materials are then expelled radially through the stator holes, undergoing an intense combined action of cutting, grinding, and mechanical crushing. The result is a completely homogeneous product, free of lumps, with extremely fine and long-lasting stable emulsions.
Types of Mixers
Immersion Mixer Type “I”
Recommended for tanks with capacities up to 3,000 liters. The mixer is immersed directly into the processing tank, continuously drawing material toward the rotor-stator assembly. Available with auxiliary propellers for moving highly viscous masses.
Recirculation Mixer Type “R”
Recommended for tanks with capacities over 3,000 liters. The fluid is drawn from the tank, processed in the rotor-stator assembly, and returned to the tank, with the possibility of pumping at the end of processing. Ideal for large volumes and for processes that require additions during processing.
Laboratory Mixer “Lab I 033”
A compact version that uses the same rotor-stator principle as industrial mixers. Single-phase 220 V 50 Hz motor with electronic speed control from 0 to 7,800 rpm. Stainless steel structure with adjustable height. Compact dimensions (710 x 470 x 350 mm). The results obtained are perfectly reproducible using industrial mixers from the same range.
Interchangeable Stators
Each mixer can be equipped with different types of stators, which are quickly interchangeable:
-
-
- TO — Large round-hole stator: general use, solid crushing, gel preparation, high-viscosity emulsions.
-
- EM — Emulsifying stator: can be used alone or with the SE sieve for increased cutting action.
-
- E — Fine-hole emulsifying sieve: for fine emulsions and dispersion of micronized powders.
-
- QU — Square-hole stator: for disintegrating and refining insoluble granular solids or coarse powders.
